But neither you nor I was at the event. Blogging or writing/exposing is effective in that it puts people who would attempt to stand up for the continuance of freedom as right on edge and ready. People need to be individually moved to truly care about themselves, their lives, and their place in their country (and indeed the values that make their country great!) before they can even begin to think about taking action. That is quite possible one of the saddest things I have see this year. But there is another problem I see in this video. Now I know these are all college professors and far from aggressive students here in this lecture hall. But I believe we all have a obligation to stand up and fight against such unmoral and appalling act as we have displayed here. Obviously, he can't do anything him self. Although if other bound together (like we should as a human race) to help in out, there would probably be more fascist hell to pay. However, if all we do is just let them do this, then talk about how fucked up everything is, or how you can't believe this is happening, then we have fallen at the edge of there sword. We have to stand up to this, there should have been much more patriotism in the room that day (i mean real patriotism, you know, the kind we forgot about where we stand for what we believe in and tear into anything that is barging in on our freedom).
